Trust Deed & House Buying?
I entered into a trust deed and paid it over 3 years. it finished 2 years ago and I have not had any credit problems since. I have 3 home shopping catalogues and never miss any payments. Now I want to buy a house and wondered what my chances are of getting a mortgage. A mortgage advisor has told me no prob, but she would want to work with me for a fee, so I'd prefer the voice of experience..

- Don't pay a fee. You only need to pay a fee if you have trouble getting a mortgage - ie recent credit problems. Go direct to a bank or building society. An Independant Mortgage Advisor gets paid twice - once by the lender that she puts you with, and once by you! Be careful.
- Don't give Marty, the Premier Loan Shark any information. he is running a scam. Yahoo keeps booting him, but he just signed up again. Also, run from anyone wanting a fee. They might not be as dangereous as the shark, but they are out of line asking for a fee. Mortgage brokers get a HUGE commission on loans. They usually make more then the real estate agents in any transaction. They should never charge the consumer for anything. You sound like you should have no problems. Those home shopping payments actually help you, they show that you pay your bills,
