  1. You can go to Amazon.com, they have great deals, free shipping and no tax, and they are authorized reseller, so you don't need to worry about warranty. You can also try JR.com and crutchfield.com.
  2. This is the only place I buy electronics from any more. I'm fortunate that they have a bricks and mortar store here where I live. They beat Best Buy hands down. http://www.frys.com/ This one is 700 watts. I don't know where you would find (or why you would want) on that's 2000 watts. http://www.frys.com/product/5332378?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG
  3. amazon.com have great selection and good deals http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2FHome-Audio-Electronics%2Fb%3Fie%3DUTF8%26node%3D667846011%26ref%255F%3Dsa%255Fmenu%255Fhat5&tag=computer0bd-20&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=390957
  4. Home Theater Systems http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2FHome-Theater-Systems-Audio-Video%2Fb%3Fie%3DUTF8%26node%3D281056%26ref%255F%3Damb%255Flink%255F83064811%255F15&tag=greenenrgysav-20&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=390957
  5. Amazon.com, or PartsExpress.com. I like eBay for a vast amount of choices and a lot of times the best price to boot. Happy shopping!
  6. First of all, there is no such thing as a 2000 watt system. The most you're likely to get for a home theater setup is 200 watts per channel RMS with less than 1% distortion. If this system is advertised as a 1600 watt system, then the company is violating FTC regulations. It is a 200 watt system. You don't add up the channels, or at least not legally. The best place to buy stereo equipment is J & R (www.jr.com) The prices are reasonable, but the sales people are much more knowledgeable than those in most consumer stores. Call up their AV department and ask for a recommendation from an expert. Seach the web for better prices. If you find a better price from an authorized retailer, they will beat it. Make sure you know your budget. I would buy separate components, and not a home theater system, since the speakers on these are not high quality, but if I had $1000 to spend and I had to go for a home theater system, I'd spring for the Onkyo system listed below. If you're willing to go with components, I'd get a Yamaha RX-V765 7.1-Channel Digital Home Theater Receiver, a Blu-ray player, two Polk Audio AM7202-A TSI 500 Floorstanding Speakers for the front, Polk Audio FXI-A6 Timbre-matched Pair of Surround LoudSpeakers for the surrounds, and Polk Audio CSI-A6 High-Performance Center Channel Loudspeaker - Cherry for the center. You don't really need a subwoofer with this setup. Of course, this is quite a bit more than the Onkyo set up. If I had to keep the price below $1000, I'd still get a Yamaha receiver, since they've been doing surround sound and AV a lot longer than anyone else and they have the best digital sound processors on the market, but I'd get the cheaper 665 model, and I'd go for a 5.1 setup like the Polk Audio RM705 5.1-Channel Home Theater Speaker System.
