Can someone use my prepaid Debit card for online shopping even if there are zero funds in it?
I have used my prepaid debit card online several times. Hoewever i make sure that the funds are almst exhausted or very little after the shopping. My worry is that is it possible for a fraudster to order good way above the available funds in the prepaid debit card.

- It's pre-paid, so isn't it possible to not get back to you if something goes wrong? And plus on all pre-paid anythings you can't charge whats not there. You have .99, you can't buy something thats $1.00. They won't allow it.
- I wouldn't worry about the scenario you describe. Whenever you do a debit or credit transaction, the merchant runs a query to the card issuer to determine if there are sufficient funds available to cover the transaction. Once that "pre-authorization" is run, there will be a reduction in available funds.
- As with any credit, debit, or like card the transaction should be denied if there are no funds to support the purchase... ie the credit card has been maxed or there are no funds in the account for debit or secured credit card purchases. If you're still worried about sneaky people, contact your secured card company and ask them what their policy is for fraudulent transactions. Most companies put the money back into your account while they conduct their fraud investigation. If your company does not, I would probably find another company that does.
