  1. I don't know how bailiffs work but I recommend you visit your local CAB office for advice or the national debt helpline - either one of these Monday morning.
  2. you need help and fast register at www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk you will get all the help you need there. Bailiffs can only come into your house with a court order but they first have to have a CCJ, county court judgement. against you before they can do anything but don't worry you can Challenge everything and still be withing the law. The CAB i have found are not helpful.
  3. Please take the advice about CAB. If there is a court hearing it is essential that you go. It is not that frightening. If you do not go - or pretend that you have not had the summons etc - all that will happen is that the rights and wrongs will not be heard and the person bringing the case will succeed in getting judgement. In the end it may be that if you do not own your house but live in local authority or housing association property you may need to consider bankruptcy. This is not as bad as it sounds and the court protects you from your creditors.
