I'm thinking of starting a business (store) but I need to find catalogues from which to purchase inventory

I am thinking of starting a small specialty shop, selling things like jewelery, candle holders, cards, and other unique home decor items. I need to find some suppliers from which to buy my inventory--perhaps some suppliers that will send me catalogues to check out and decide what type of inventory to begin with. I really am looking for stuff with Asian flair. Any ideas how I could find out where to get these types of catalogues, etc.? Thank you.

2. What a wonderful idea it is to open a small specialty shop. I for one prefer to shop at locally owned specialty shops. That's where you find the truly original items. I would search the Internet for all these items and when you see something that catches your eye, simply send a email and request a wholesale catalog. I also think candles would be great in this type of shop so don't stop at just the holders. There is a site on the Internet called Scentahome found at www.scentahome.com that has the best gourmet triple scented candles.That would be a great place to start. Any of these places would love to have you display their product in your store. By the way, most of these places are going to request some type of business license before doing wholesale business with you. Good luck and expect success.
3. there is the merchandise trade show at the jacob javits center every year - there you will find the best vendors and pricing of wholesale goods from around the world - ( and you wont believe all the freebies they give out )
