Ok i need Help deciding which SWING to get my 11 week old son With the papasan swing i can pick it up immediately from a shop about half hour away from my home BUT if i choose the Rainforest swing i have to wait a week as has to be ordered from the mainland Dont let that sway your decision though Which do you think a baby will enjoy more I need advice and why thankyou Also if you have one or the other tell me anything bad about them thanks They are both $269.95 each so price is not the deciding factor lol This is the Fisher Price papasan Cradle Swing http://www.mybabywarehouse.com.au/babywarehouseonline/prod_catalogue/products.cfm?mpid=325&catid=15&pnodes=1,7&isp=0 This is the Fisher Price Rainforest cradle swing http://www.amazon.com/Fisher-Price-Rainforest-Open-Top-Cradle-Swing/dp/B000I2WAY4 I live in Tasmania And these are the price they are here You know the little carry around ones they are between $180 and $199 Lol it is expensive here

  1. The Fisher Price Rainforest cradle swing, it looks a lot of fun!
  2. why the heck are you saying that they are nearly 270 bucks?!?! where the heck are you living? id say the rainforest, we have a few of those products and savannah, my daughter liked them for quite a while, though I never did try the first one myself
  3. They're basically the same. They're both cradle swings and are both Fisher Price. I really haven't heard anything good or bad about either. I haven't heard anything bad about Graco swings, either. Plus, the Graco swings are much cheaper. I wouldn't even bother with a swing at this point--in another month or two your baby will be too big for it. I'd invest in a jumperoo or an exersaucer which he will be able to use at around 4 mos.
  4. The Rainforest swing is the best 1, i have 1 for my 10 week old son, and he loves it, and i also have the Rainforest bouncy seat and he like to watch the waterfall and the monkey move
  5. The first one looks nicer but the second one plugs in. If the first one plugs in then that is best, if it doesn't then the second one is the one I would get as I personally paid a fortune on batteries.
  6. I think they are pretty close to being the same. they both have 6 speeds and go front to back or side to side.... I guess the only difference is do you want to replace batteries or just plug it into a wall? I would choose the Fisher Price one because my daughter is almost 5 months and she weighs enough that the batteries need to be changed often and plugging it in seems convenient. But at the same time, once the baby can crawl the cord can be a strangulation hazard.....
  7. Go for the papasan - We have a similar fisher price swing and a papasan chair, and my son liked the papasan chair - I really liked the material used for the papasan better - it was soft, but still managed to keep any mess on top and easy to clean. Honestly, though, it doesn't matter much. If you are willing to consider another swing, you don't need to pay that much. A swing is a swing, and the baby will either like it or not, and in that way there's no difference between the 270 dollar swing and the 50 dollar swing.
  8. I think the second one is better for a 19 month old. Its a bit bigger.
  9. We have the FP Rainforest swing. We did not pay $269 for ir either. Got it on sale at Target for $ 99-
  10. My daughter loved the swimg and we didnt go through very many batteries. I would deff go with the first one. I had one like the second one and I seem to like the first one better.
  11. i got the travel along mini rainforest swing for only 30 dollars, that is expensive for a swing. i think you should just order it off of the internet and it wont be so expensive. the picture even shows that it is only 105
  12. Can you get one off Ebay cheaper?? Just a thought. I personally love the comfy look of the Papasan but the playfulness of the Rainforest will get your baby going looking at those adorable characters over head always had my little one entertained. Cogratulations your baby and look into getting the Rainforest bouncer too if you dont' have one. MY little guy loves it. OH and the Jumperoo TOO.
  13. My sister got the Rain forest one, and her baby loves it! The music really calms him and it's been a great help so far. But I'm sure the other one is good too.
  14. I like the Rain forest...I have all the rain forest stuff except the swing and I think they are awesome!! I love the colors!!
  15. I like the Rainforest swing. It looks really nice- bright colours and I think your baby would enjoy the rainforest sounds. I notice the Rainforest swing plugs in the wall so you are saving a huge deal on batteries. I would definitley go with the Rainforest 100%
